Overview

This is the Sabi Sands done properly — three nights inside the private reserve that shares an unfenced border with the Kruger National Park and is, by common consent, the finest place on earth to watch leopard. Unlike the national park next door, the Sabi Sands allows off-road traversing, night drives and a ranger-and-tracker team on every vehicle, so you follow the wildlife into the sightings rather than watching from the road. Your days settle into the timeless safari rhythm: a dawn game drive with coffee in the bush, a lazy midday of pool and fine food, and an afternoon drive that runs into a sundowner and the spotlit hush of the night. Everything — your suite, every meal, two game drives a day, house drinks and airstrip transfers — is included, so the reserve reveals itself without a running tab.

The Sabi Sands is a premium experience and we do not pretend otherwise — but the premium buys something real. Off-road traversing means your ranger can leave the track to bring you alongside a hunting leopard; a dedicated tracker reads the sand for the sightings other reserves miss; low vehicle density means you are rarely sharing a sighting; and the guiding is among the best in Africa. This four-night journey concentrates on a single outstanding lodge rather than rushing between camps, so you settle in, your ranger learns what you want, and the sightings compound day by day. Conservation and community levies, airstrip transfers and all the usual inclusions are itemised in writing, so the figure you see is the figure you pay.

Best Time to Travel

The Sabi Sands is a superb year-round destination, with resident leopard, lion, elephant, buffalo and rhino that never leave the reserve. The dry winter months of May to September are the classic peak: the bush thins, the animals gather at water, and the game viewing is at its very best — this is also the priciest and busiest window. April and October are excellent shoulder months. The green summer season, November to March, brings dramatic skies, newborn animals, outstanding birding and the lowest rates of the year, with game viewing that remains very good throughout.

Why Choose This Package

The Best Leopard Viewing on Earth

The Sabi Sands is, by common consent, the most reliable place in the world to watch leopard — the single biggest reason travellers choose it over any other reserve.

Off-Road Where the Park Cannot

Unlike the Kruger National Park next door, the Sabi Sands allows off-road traversing and night drives, so your ranger follows the wildlife into the sighting rather than watching from the road.

Truly All-Inclusive

Your suite, every meal, two game drives a day with a ranger-and-tracker team, house drinks, conservation levies and airstrip transfers are all built in and itemised, so there is no running tab.

One Great Lodge, Not a Rush

Three nights at a single outstanding lodge lets you settle in, your ranger learns what you want, and the sightings compound day by day — far better than hopping camps.
