Welcome To Camps Bay
Originally named Baai von Kamptz, after Friedrich von Kamptz, a Dutch sailor who arrived in the Cape in 1778 and married the widow Anna Wernich whose Farm; 'Ravensteyn', adjoined the Bay. Camps Bay is an affluent suburb of Cape Town, South Africa, and Cape Town's premier beach destination with a blue flag status.

When To Go?
The best time to visit Camps is from September to April. Winters months of May to August are characterized by cold weather and a lot of rain as well as storms. Mid-December to Mid January the place becomes very very busy. From the 24th of December to the 7th of January, the traffic can be very very busy and the beaches are flock out by a great number of beachgoers.
